Kelly Jayne

I’m a qualified Counsellor and registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I am trained and qualified in both Person-Centred Therapy and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). I work with children, young people and adults and have experience of working with clients face to face, via telephone and online.

Why I love what I do:

I love being a counsellor and I am passionate about supporting people to live their best lives. I find it rewarding to see people develop and progress through therapy. I am incredibly grateful to be in a position to support people to reach their goals, to go on to live happier and more fulfilling lives. Change can feel overwhelming and sometimes scary, but it can also lead to amazing opportunities.

Previous experience:

I have worked in mental health services for many years in various roles, including service manager, co-ordinator and counsellor. I have worked with individuals of all ages and have a wealth of experience. I am qualified in both Person-centred therapy and CBT. I also have qualifications in Health & Social Care. I have relevant experience of working online, counselling individuals of all ages. My counselling experience includes working with anxiety, depression, OCD, relationship issues, family issues, work related stress, bereavement, confidence, emotional resilience, self-esteem, self-harm, suicidal ideation, amongst others.

A little more about me…

I live in the North of England, and I am lucky enough to be surrounded by lots of beautiful countryside. I enjoy spending time with my family. I love walking my furbabies, and I often spend time over the weekend at the coast. I enjoy swimming and going to the gym. I love being able to take some time for myself to relax and unwind. I recognise the importance of self-care and the positive impact it can have on overall wellbeing.
